Plastics are widely used in electronic devices, engineering machinery, and product packaging. According to statistics, by 2050, plastic production is expected to exceed 500 million tons. Currently, only 9% of plastic waste is recycled globally, with nearly 50% of waste plastics ending up in landfills, and another 22% being discarded untreated into the natural environment. Plastics degrade very slowly in nature, and their extremely low biodegradability poses a significant threat to ecological environments and human health. In the context of global plastic pollution control, exploring new technologies to turn plastics into oil and achieve chemical recycling of plastics has become a new direction in the environmental protection field in many regions, including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region.

Niutech – Thailand Waste Plastic Continuous Pyrolysis Project

Niutech from China is an international expert in continuous pyrolysis technology. Its independently developed and produced “Industrial Continuous Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Production Line” delivers high and stable quality of pyrolysis products, enabling continuous long-term production with an annual operation time of over 8,000 hours. This technology can continuously pyrolyze plastics into high-value-added products such as oil and solid fuels. After further processing, the regenerated plastic oil can be transformed into raw chemical materials to produce new plastics, yielding considerable market sales revenue. This method represents a highly economically valuable disposal solution. Currently, many renowned international companies are focusing on the plastic circular economy, including ExxonMobil, Shell Netherlands, and SK Korea. However, finding a technology service provider with mature technology, reliable equipment, and market-validated solutions has become a key investment focus in this field. Niutech has been dedicated to the pyrolysis field for 40 years, effectively addressing challenges such as coking in plastic pyrolysis reactors under large processing volumes, difficulties in dynamic sealing of feeding and discharging, and polymerization of output products. The company has been awarded China’s highest environmental technology award, the National Science and Technology Progress Award and its technology has been promoted nationwide as a green, low-carbon, and reliable solution. Domestically, Niutech has completed the deployment of China’s first medical plastic waste and urban household plastic waste 10,000-ton level production lines. Internationally, Niutech’s technology and equipment have assisted several well-known companies in completing advanced waste plastic chemical recycling project deployments in Europe.

Currently, Niutech has effectively solved the challenge of converting 80% of plastics into liquid oil. The plastic pyrolysis oil produced by Niutech’s pyrolysis equipment can be utilized in multiple fields, such as fuel, gasoline, and diesel. This pyrolysis oil not only serves as an energy fuel but also acts as an intermediate for producing other materials, as well as a solvent and additive for industrial products. In the future, Niutech will continue to focus on “waste plastic recycling.” Leveraging mature technologies, equipment, and operational expertise, the company aims to achieve efficient conversion of plastic waste under large-scale disposal conditions and maximize resource value. Efforts will be made to continuously enhance plastic conversion efficiency, reduce energy consumption and production costs, and further elevate the value of plastic-derived products. Through more demonstration projects, Niutech will contribute to global plastic chemical recycling efforts, offering Chinese solutions and expertise to advance the circular economy and sustainable development.
