How To Produce Pyrolysis Oil By Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Machine?

Secondly, the prepared plastic waste is feeded into a pyrolysis reactor vessel continuously. The reactor is sealed to create an oxygen-free environment. The temperature inside the reactor is then raised to the pyrolysis temperature, typically in the range of 400°C to 500°C, depending on the type of plastic being processed.
As the plastic waste is heated, it undergoes a chemical transformation, causing the plastic to break down into small molecule monomers, dimers, etc. These substances are then polymerized into a variety of olefins. The oil gas is condensed into oil through the cooling system, which is pyrolysis oil.
There are many types of plastics. PE/PP/PS plastics, ABS engineering plastics, plastic cable skins, plastic household waste, medical waste, paper mill scraps, etc. can be used for oil refining. Different types of plastics have different oil yield rates. The overall range is 40-95%. For example, the oil yield rate of pure PE plastic can be as high as about 95%; that of pure PP/PS plastic is about 90%; that of pure ABS plastic is about 40%, etc.
Utilizing Waste Plastic Pyrolysis Oil
Pyrolysis oil is a liquid product that can be used as chemical raw material, and further refined to make synthetic resins, which in turn can be used to make new plastic products.
Beseides, waste plastic pyrolysis oil can directly used as fuel, it can also be hydrotreated to obtain gasoline and diesel fuel fractions, replacing traditional crude oil, realizing energy substitution.
From 1950 to 2017, a total of 9.2 billion tons of waste plastics were produced globally. Approximately 7 billion tons became plastic waste. Even now, only about 9% of plastic waste has been recycled; millions of tons of plastic waste are discarded into the natural environment, either in landfills or transported to fixed sites for incineration or dumping.
